Regional Timber Selection

Solid American hardwoods shaped at the bench.

Every piece begins with timber selected for structural stability, grain figure, and longevity. We work exclusively with local and domestic hardwoods — no veneers, no particle board, and no shortcuts.

The Swatches

Six foundational hardwoods for custom commissions.

Compare grain figures, natural tones, and finishing traits to find the right wood for your table, bench, or carved vessel.

Durable & Classic

Black Walnut

White Oak

Hard Maple

Cherry

Deep brown heartwood with complex grain figures. Ages into a rich bronze patina under natural light.

Pale golden brown with prominent medullary rays. Exceptionally tough and resistant to heavy wear.

Creamy white to light amber with a fine, closed grain. Ideal for clean lines and food-safe surfaces.

Pinkish-brown raw timber that deepens into a rich, lustrous reddish amber over years of sunlight exposure.

Maintenance

Food-safe oil and climate care.

We finish every piece with natural, low-VOC oils and beeswax that penetrate deep into the fibers rather than forming a plastic surface film. This allows the timber to breathe and feel warm to the touch.

Keep solid wood out of direct, prolonged sunlight and maintain indoor humidity between 35% and 50% to prevent seasonal movement. Re-oil dining surfaces once a year with our workshop blend.
